Hosted by David Israelow
David Israelow, the 2018 Washoku World Challenge Champion, was asked to cook and coordinate a dinner for the visiting officials following the 2019 NYC qualifying round. The guests included the judges, participants, media, and ministry officials of the competition.
To prepare for the meal, he went fishing, farming and foraging for as many ingredients as possible. The process was documented and footage was screened during the dinner. The intention of the project is to bridge the gap between food on a plate and where it comes from and how it happens.
